In 1984, Adam Fleischer added an innovation to his annual New York Magic Symposium by making it bi-coastal, with one session in Manhattan and the other in San Francisco. Dai Vernon attended the San Francisco event.
The first 36 pages reproduce the convention program (including advertisement), which included essays about the "state of the art" by Max Maven, Harry Lorayne, Jay Sankey, and Michael Ammar. Following the program and separately paginated are the contributions.
