The introduction in part reads: "Beginning with this manuscript the reader is offered a series of novel effects and techniques which involved cards and card cases. Since most of the tricks require only a few cards plus the card box, the routines represent offbeat new approaches to the small-packet trick (implied is the point that you can do more with small packets of cards then count them). Emphasis on the quick visual effect – what the audience sees is impossible. To get the strongest effect, the handling should involve little in the way of setting up, cover, angles, and so on. It would not be possible to put together a series like this one without the aid of a first-class artist. Joseph K.
