For the last month, we've been planning and preparing for a big project here at Don's Magic & Books. The business has outgrown our 900 square foot house, so we are preparing our entire garage to accommodate the books.
We have insulated, run full electric, heated and air conditioned our garage to make it fully functional for the book business. It has taken over a month to get it all ready, and to get contractors to commit (it is January here in Minnesota). By the end of today, it should be fully finished.
On top of preparing every day for what needed to be done on the garage, I have been preparing to present my newest show, Wunderkammer: The Curious Cabinet of Don Bursell, at a small theatre in Braham, MN. tonight. It is only the second time I have presented the full-length show, so I'm excited once again to be back in a theatre.
Finally, on Monday I will pick up the rental van, load it full of books, and head to Columbus, Ohio, for Magifest 2022. It will be my second time as a book dealer there, and I look forward to seeing all of the great friends we made last time Greg Phillips & I were there.
